Our History
The TRA’s earliest records of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association operations date back nearly 70 years ago, when famed restaurant operator, Sonny Look, gathered fellow restaurant operators to discuss the issues Houston restaurant businesses faced. Today, the association’s members gather and discuss pro business initiatives. The GHRA continues to thrive. Houston has more TRA members than any other local chapter. We continue to be a strong advocate for our members politically, as well as a resource for information, training and networking opportunities.
